Amazon is the third outing for Big Fish Games in their Hidden Expedition series. It follows the best-selling and award-winning hits Titanic and Everest that have introduced casual gamers to the beauty and mystery of some of the world's most hard-to-reach places, and is one of the most popular new hidden games.
This installment features an epic adventure in the Amazon rainforest with new hidden games. the Hidden Expedition team has received word that an archaeology professor has been reported missing while exploring the Amazon. You have been tasked to investigate his disappearance and hopefully find him alive and well. The only lead you have is a tattered map left behind by the professor. On it is the mysterious Beetle Temple. Could this be where you'll find the professor and ancient treasures? Or is death the only outcome for anyone foolish enough to enter it?
Your epic adventure takes you from the romantic yet dangerous city of Casablanca, to the exotic mountains of Ecuador, through to the rivers and swamps in the heart of the Amazon.
Along the way, you will meet many interesting characters... from snake charmers to hermits. Some will help you on your search, while others will try to hinder your progress.
Throughout the adventure, you will get to experience the Amazon and other locales in all their beauty. These mysterious places are depicted in truly mesmerizing art. And hidden within these beautiful pictures are the new hidden games and various tools and treasures that you will need to find.
The game features dozens of scenes with traditional hidden object gameplay. Items such as gems and alligator heads litter the scenery and must be collected. And there are items that are required to unlock the next puzzle in the story.
In addition, there are many other new hidden games and puzzles that help to propel the story and present a nice break from the standard hidden object elements, giving this game a fresh and adventurous feel.
